The trade deadline is swiftly approaching and the Atlanta Braves are looking to make an upgrade at third base. Their surprising 2018 campaign was on full display Sunday, and this team is FOR REAL.

The team just released Jose Bautista and will take their chances with Johan Camargo for now, but that won't solve their long-term problems. General Manager Alex Anthopoulos isn't one to sit around and wait for a miracle, so it's more than likely someone will be coming in to take his place on a full-time basis.

The latest chatter has flirted with the idea that the Braves could pursue Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas at the trade deadline, according to Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe.

That would be one heck of an upgrade.

"There’s a growing feeling among talent evaluators that Moustakas could become a Braves target...GM Alex Anthopoulos isn’t known to sit still," writes Cafardo.

Although he didn't get much attention in the free-agent market, Moustakas, 29, had a career year in 2017 and has 10 home runs and 31 RBI already this year. He would definitely help deepen this lineup and make it even more dangerous.

The Royals are at 14-32 season and not doing to hot. It's speculated that they will soon be looking to sell so that they can start rebuilding their team. This could be the perfect opportunity for Moustakas to get out and get some much needed value to help rebuild the organization.

Yep, it's going to be sell time for the Royals, and the Braves have some intriguing young talent in their farm system to dangle for Moustakas.
