The offensive line is the most critical part to an NFL team's success. On Friday, the Washington Redskins' o-line took a hit.

According to reports, left guard Arie Kouandjio suffered an apparent torn quad muscle, leaving his 2018 season in serious doubt.

The normal rehabilitation timeline is approximately eight months. With the timing of Kouandjio's injury, he could be medically cleared by next February, when the 2018 season is over.

Kouandjio, a 2015 fourth-round pick by Washington, just cracked the starting lineup in 2017, where he started in the final six games of the year. The 26-year-old is entering the final year of his four-year rookie deal.

Washington just re-signed Shawn Lauvao earlier this week, but it is unknown if the transaction came before or after Kouandjio's injury.

Regardless, the injury has not been confirmed as of this writing, but from what has been reported, Washington is likely bracing for the worst.
