Orlando Franklin's short stint in Washington is now over.

The 30-year-old lineman, who has previously played for the Denver Broncos and San Diego Chargers (at the time), was brought on in late October of last season to help a Redskins offensive front that was decimated with injuries.

Though he only saw one game of action, he was mostly just a depth piece. With the Redskins using resources this offseason to shore up their line, Franklin's services are no longer needed.

Washington drafted offensive tackle Geron Christian out of Louisville in the third round and also added undrafted free agent rookie Sean Welsh to help fill the depth chart.

With Trent Williams, Morgan Moses and Brandon Scherff all good to go, Washington is poised to give shiny new toy and bruising back Derrius Guice plenty of room to rumble.
