The Philadelphia Eagles gave quarterback Carson Wentz another weapon this weekend, drafting South Dakota State tight end Dallas Goedert with the 17th pick in the second round.
Goedert is a great pass-catching tight end and was widely viewed as a top two or three prospect at his position. He will be great opposite Zach Ertz, but Philly fans aren't exactly happy.
When you play in Philly, and your first name is Dallas, that's going to rub your fans the wrong way. So much so the Eagles fans are taking it upon themselves to try to change that.

The Cowboys did end up getting a guy to fill that role, just not the one they wanted.
On the weekend it surfaced that Jason Witten is expected to retire, the Cowboys used the 137th selection in the fourth round on Stanford TE Dalton Schultz.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) April 28, 2018
This will be a nice new wrinkle to add to the Cowboys-Eagles rivalry, especially if the fans do somehow end up convincing Goedert to change his name.
Maybe they even name a new play after him. Ph
