Our minds just got absolutely boggled by this moment. We didn't expect real-life tears at pick 28, but here we go. The Pittsburgh Steelers selected Terrell Edmunds in the first round, which is an exceptional family story; after all, he's the second Edmunds taken on this awesome night. But the story here was the man who walked across the stage and signaled the pick: former star linebacker and currently traumatic injury recovery patient Ryan Shazier.

We'll never forget the horrifying night Shazier crumpled to the ground on live television and we worried he'd never walk again.

Against all odds, he's already on his feet showing off his mobility.

While Shazier has stated that he'd like to come back to the NFL (which would be downright stunning), we're just happy to watch him leading a normal life and helping to usher in a new era of sterling Steelers defense on draft night.

Keep on fighting and Shalieve, baby!
