The Cleveland Browns shook up the top of the NFL Draft taking Baker Mayfield No. 1 overall, and it was up to the New York Giants to make a splash and either take a playmaker or trade the No. 2 selection.

They went with a REALLY good playmaker.

Penn State running back Saquon Barkley is now a New York Football Giant.

They passed on the quarterbacks even though USC signal caller Sam Darnold was there for the taking.

But who were we kidding? Odell Beckham Jr. gave the pick away earlier tonight!

Barkley set 10 school records during his time at Penn State and helped the Nittany Lions to an enormous bowl game victory over the Washington Huskies. He was the face of the program and has been regarded as a one-in-a-generation talent.

Barkley was born in the Bronx and now he'll be returning home.

Welcome to New York!
