Tonight's Game 2 matchup against the Indiana Pacers is absolutely crucial for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
As it turns out, everything is just fine. Hood didn't miss time due to injury, but rather for a family matter. And an amazing one at that.
He and his wife welcomed two twins into the world this morning.
Wow - so @RodneyHood had a busy day today. Missed shootaround this morning and now we know why. (And the Cavs say he’s planning to play tonight.)

Congrats to the whole family https://t.co/Quq20MRmZX
The birth of a child takes precedence over just about everything, even an important NBA playoff matchup.
Despite missing time, Hood is still expected to play and start tonight. A key piece coming over from the Jazz in a midseason trade, the fifth-year shooting guard is crucial to the Cavs' playoff chances.
Against a very good Pacers team that has shown no fear of the reigning Eastern Conference champs, LeBron James cannot win this alone. Hood will look to improve off a measly nine-point performance in Game 1.
Along with winning a championship, the responsibilities in the Hood household just doubled.

A very special congrats to Hood and the rest of his family!
