Tonight's Game 2 matchup against the Indiana Pacers is absolutely crucial for the  Cleveland Cavaliers. Already down 1-0 in the series, reports surfaced today that Rodney Hood missed the team's morning shootaround for an unknown reason. 


As it turns out, everything is just fine. Hood didn't miss time due to injury, but rather for a family matter. And an amazing one at that.


He and his wife welcomed two twins into the world this morning. 

The birth of a child takes precedence over just about everything, even an important NBA playoff matchup. 


Despite missing time, Hood is still expected to play and start tonight. A key piece coming over from the Jazz in a midseason trade, the fifth-year shooting guard is crucial to the Cavs' playoff chances. 


Against a very good Pacers team that has shown no fear of the reigning Eastern Conference champs, LeBron James cannot win this alone. Hood will look to improve off a measly nine-point performance in Game 1. 


Along with winning a championship, the responsibilities in the Hood household just doubled.
