The only thing better than the return of playoff basketball is the return of playoff Charles Barkley.

Since his Hall-of-Fame playing days, Barkley expresses his hilarious and hot takes on TNT's "Inside the NBA."

And if there's anything we know by now from the 55-year-old, he isn't afraid to call it how it is. That was no different tonight when discussing the matchup between the Houston Rockets and Minnesota Timberwolves.

If you thought Tom Thibodeau was cruel, Barkley took it up a notch.

He had some harsh words for the Timberwolves during the halftime break, calling them "one of the dumbest teams [he's] ever seen in [his] life."

You have to take the hyperbole into consideration but if you believe what Barkley says is serious the majority of the time then you're doing it wrong in the first place.

But to put some context to the quote, Barkley said this in regards to the Timberwolves inability to capitalize on the Rockets' defensive switches.

Against a James Harden-led team that isn't known for their defensive presence, it's a flaw the Timberwolves have to take advantage of in this seven-game series, because on the other side of the ball, Harden will always have the advantage.

As the No. 8 seed, the Timberwolves have held their own tonight against the Western Conference's top team.

In the words of Barkley himself, it doesn't look like they're playing too turrible.
