It's James Harden's world and we're just living in it. The MVP-to-be wasted no time proving exactly why he's worth those honors in the Rockets' Game 1 matchup against the Timberwolves.

How does that one taste?

Guarded by one of the better perimeter defenders in Andrew Wiggins, even he didn't stand a chance against the bearded man. Harden toyed with Wiggins on the arch and hit a nasty step-back three-pointer right in his face.

There may have been a travel on Harden's part, but that's never going to be called in today's NBA.

Harden is already off to a hot start with 19 points at halftime as the Rockets have a seven-point lead at home. The Warriors may be the defending champs, but Harden and company are out to prove differently this season.

So far it's smooth sailing, as it should be for the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference.
