Despite all of his on-field success, Odell Beckham Jr. has struggled off the field at times during his NFL career, frustrating fans as well as his teammates and others within the Giants organization.
Beckham created more off-field controversy recently when a video surfaced of the 25 year old in bed with a woman, what appeared to be a blunt, and some suspicious looking white powder being cut up on the bed.
The video again bothered fans and, unfortunately for Beckham, the team's co-owner John Mara as well.

"I guess my response to that is I’m tired of answering questions about Odell’s behavior. He knows what’s expected of him and now it’s up to him.''
OBJ is a free agent following the 2018 NFL season, and the receiver is looking for a long-term extension from the Giants in the range of $20 million per season -- a deal that would make him the highest paid wide receiver in the league.
Beckham's production backs him up. Since entering the league in 2014, Beckham has been one of the best wide receivers, averaging over 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns per year despite playing in just 12 games per season (on average) due to injuries.

Considering his controversial personality and seemingly constant off field incidents, Beckham will probably end up underpaid relative to his on field impact. Hopefully the star wide receiver can clean up his act, but Beckham shouldn't expect a lucrative long term extension from the Giants if he continues to draw ire from John Mara.
