If you're waiting for the fantastic rematch between Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin, then you might want to cross your fingers.

With the two middleweight boxers scheduled for another showdown this year, Alvarez may have jeopardized the chances of it.

Seemingly out of nowhere, Alvarez was suspended for failing a drug test from the Nevada State Athletic Commission. This isn't the first time he has tested positive for banned substances, as he was caught last year before facing Golovkin.

Now that Alvarez had two positive tests come up, he'll have to attend a hearing in April to see if he can carry on with his fight.

It's safe to say that boxing fanatics will hope that this hearing leans in the fight's favor.

After all, the entire world is waiting for this rematch. Even Connor McGregor would be intrigued by another fight between Alvarez and Golovkin.

Considering the last battle resulted in a split-decision, the boxing world owes everyone a true winner.
