By 4 p.m. tomorrow,  Kirk Cousins is expected to officially become a member of the Minnesota Vikings. Since trading for Alex Smith in late January, Cousins' future with the Redskins has been known.

With no interest in playing on the franchise tag again, Cousins is finally getting a big-time payday.

Could the Redskins have made a better bid for Cousins? Former quarterback and franchise great Joe Theismann thinks so. But his NSFW response to the situation will have fans laughing out loud and frankly puzzled.

I guess that's one way to put it. I'm sure Dan Synder was keen on making an effort to keeping Cousins, but maybe not to Theismann's extent.

What the Redskins will have to swallow is the fact that Cousins is expected to head to another NFC contender in the Minnesota Vikings. If losing him was bad enough, Cousins could very well be on his way to a Super Bowl title while Jay Gruden and company are watching from the comfort of their own homes.

Let's just hope Theismann isn't involved in any contract negotiations. That kind of wording is NOT how the Redskins are going to lure in future players.

If breaking his leg was bad enough, this might honestly be worse.

Sheesh!
