Houston Astros star and reigning American League MVP Jose Altuve made news yesterday with his aggressive mean mug towards President Donald Trump during the Astros' visit to the White House to celebrate their World Series title.

Well, truth be told, that's just Altuve's listening face.

Hey, if you don't believe me, just ask Altuve.

Altuve was asked about it on Tuesday by reporters and he insisted he wasn't trying to disrespect the President. He was just listening intently.

"The president was talking ... what do you want me to do?" Altuve said.

"I was just standing there listening. It was an honor to be there. If I didn't want to go, I just wouldn't go."

"I'm behind the president ... probably one of the most important guys in the world. I can't be laughing or doing stupid things while he's talking. I need to listen."

People probably already have their minds made up and don't really care what Altuve says. But he's right. If he didn't want to be in Trump's presence, he didn't have to go. I'll take the man at his word, but the photos of Altuve behind Trump were pretty comical.
