Kirk Cousins has likely been the most anticipated free agent signing of this offseason, and talks are reportedly heating up.
This would be huge for the Vikings and for Cousins. Minnesota would get one of the better quarterbacks in the league, and Cousins would get to lead a playoff contender for the foreseeable future.
In 2017 Cousins was lethal, throwing for the second-highest touchdown total of his career. He also struggled with turnovers, but given the Vikings system and reliance on the run game we can expect his interceptions to decrease.
And so with QB Case Keenum headed to Denver, Kirk Cousins is now down to three teams:— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 13, 2018
New York Jets.
Vikings remain the favorite.
Although there are still two teams in the mix other than the Vikings, with Keenum out it seems ever more likely Cousins lands in Minnesota.
And let's be honest, it is probably just down to the Cardinals and the Vikings because who would want to spend the prime of their career with the Jets?
