A few days ago, the Atlanta Falcons released veteran defensive end Derrick Shelby.

However, Shelby has quickly scheduled some visits to find a new home.

He's eligible to sign right away because he's been let go, and these teams are wasting no time doing their due diligence.

According to a report, Shelby spent Thursday visiting the Seattle Seahawks. He's now getting set to visit the Cleveland Browns.

Shelby spent the last two seasons with the Falcons after playing his first four seasons with the Miami Dolphins.

Last season Shelby had one sack and 16 solo tackles.

His best season came in 2015 with the Dolphins, when he notched career highs in sacks (3.5) and solo tackles (25).

With the Seahawks recently trading Michael Bennett, they certainly could use Shelby to add some depth on their defensive line.

For the Browns, they're just looking to add some professional football players to bring back a winning culture in Cleveland. Shelby would be a solid pickup.
