In a deep wide receiver class, many consider Calvin Ridley to be the top prospect at the position. The 23-year-old finished up a solid career at Alabama and is primed to be a first-round lock come April.

However, a shaky combine performance over the weekend worried some pundits about Ridley's potential at the next level. But just ask the wide receiver himself and he's plenty confident in his ability.

"I do feel like I'm the best receiver in the draft...I just want to prove it," Ridley told Kimberly Jones of the NFL Network.

The emphasis on combine numbers varies among scouts and teams. Ridley was extremely unimpressive in the vertical jump and broad jump, finishing among the worst of the wide receivers in both tests.

Truth be told, there's more to a player's career than how they perform at the combine. Just tell that to Tom Brady and many others. Honing in on those two measurables for Ridley is nieve. He posted a solid 40-yard dash time (4.44 seconds) and looked like a natural in on-field drills.

When it's all said an done, Ridley is going to be the first wide receiver taken off the board. He's the most pro-ready wide receiver prospect and it a polished route runner. While a couple teams may drop Ridley down their draft boards, plenty of others will be desperate to draft him on Day 1.

He may not be Julio Jones or Amari Cooper, but Ridley is going to be a darn good player in the NFL.

Even he wouldn't tell you otherwise.
