In a deep wide receiver class, many consider Calvin Ridley
"I do feel like I'm the best receiver in the draft...
The emphasis on combine numbers varies among scouts and teams. Ridley was extremely unimpressive in the vertical jump and broad jump, finishing among the worst of the wide receivers in both tests.
Truth be told, there's more to a player's career than how they perform at the combine. Just tell that to Tom Brady
When it's all said an done, Ridley is going to be the first wide receiver taken off the board. He's the most pro-ready wide receiver prospect and it a polished route runner. While a couple teams may drop Ridley down their draft boards, plenty of others will be desperate to draft him on Day 1.
Calvin Ridley definitely not pleased with his combine performance. Joked that he'll never have to broad jump in a football game.— Chase Goodbread (@ChaseGoodbread) March 7, 2018
"I just know whoever takes me is getting a guy who can play."
He may not be Julio Jones or Amari Cooper, but Ridley is going to be a darn good player in the NFL.
Even he wouldn't tell you otherwise.
