With the start of NFL free agency just a week away, teams are already beginning to clean house.
Mark veteran cornerback Teddy Williams as a victim of this roster Spring cleaning, quietly getting cut by the Panthers on Wednesday.

This move should come to a surprise to many, as most of them have probably forgotten that Williams was a part of the team to begin with.
Williams didn't start any games or play any snaps for Carolina this season, as he was sidelined with a shoulder injury during the team's last preseason game.
in all seriousness, the Teddy Williams thing was just a bit of housekeeping. he wasn’t in CAR’s plans but – long story about NFL rules short – now he has a chance to latch on elsewhere starting next week. https://t.co/tp5gu4baMl— Bill Voth (@PanthersBill) March 7, 2018
He was unlikely to be re-signed by the Panthers following his lost season, so he will now be able to latch on to any other team as a free agent.
