The Giants aren't playing around this offseason.
After an embarrassing season that landed them in last place in the conference, the Giants knew they had to make some moves. They're already favorited to land All-Pro lineman Andrew Norwell, and now are switching their sights to defense.
New York has agreed to trade for Rams' linebacker Alec Ogletree.
And another trade: Rams trading LB Alec Ogletree to the New York Giants for two 2018 draft picks, per league source.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 7, 2018
This is a great move by New York, but what is going on with the Rams?
After improving their defense and trading for Marcus Peters, they've taken two steps backward by shipping off two key members in Robert Quinn and Ogletree.
For a player of Ogletree's talents, it wasn't a huge return.
Compensation update: Giants are trading their fourth-round pick and their sixth-round pick in return for LB Alec Ogletree and the Rams' 2019 seventh-round pick, per source.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 7, 2018
It's a shocking move considering the Rams just signed Ogletree to a contract extension
Apparently, some Rams players already aren't thrilled with the move.

Take Gurley's anger as a sign you just got a really good player on a really cheap deal, Giants fans.
