There has been much talk about the Miami Dolphins and wide receiver Jarvis Landry parting ways, even after the team placed the franchise tag on him.

The team, Landry, and his agent had a meeting on Wednesday to speak about the wide receiver's future on the team.

Josina Anderson of ESPN reports that the communication "went extremely well" in the meeting between both parties.

No further details were released beyond that.

Based on the how well the meeting reportedly went, there are two possible options for this.

One, the Dolphins and Landry are working towards a long-term contract, which the wide receiver has been looking for. Landry was reportedly unhappy in Miami towards the end of the 2017 season, and was looking to hit free agency. However, with the franchise tag, Landry will be unable to do that. Regardless, if the Dolphins offer him the contract he so desires, he could possibly consider staying.

Two, the Dolphins could be working on a trade to send Landry to another team, which has been surfacing around the media in recent weeks. Team such as the Carolina Panthers, Tennessee Titans, Chicago Bears, and New Orleans Saints are reported to have interest in acquiring Landry.

The Miami Dolphins-Jarvis Landry situation will certainly be one to follow once the new league year opens up on March 14. Will Landry stay in Miami, or will he be playing for another team next season?
