This is just heartbreaking news.
Jim Kelly is one of the best to ever do it. During his career, he carried the Bills to four straight Super Bowl appearances, and while he never got a ring, he became a legend in the NFL. Since his retirement in 1996, he's been inducted into the Hall of Fame and had his No. 12 retired by the team.
In 2013, Kelly announced that he was in a battle with oral cancer, but was thankfully able to beat the deadly disease a year later. However, it sounds like his battle is just getting started.

Kelly released a statement today confirming the sad truth that his cancer has returned, which is a devastating update for a man who has endured a lot.
Throughout his first battle with the disease, Kelly became an inspiration for cancer patients everywhere, coining the infamous "Kelly Though" moniker that has followed him since.
Now, he'll need to be tougher than ever.

Keep fighting Jim. e're all in your corner.
