Alabama has had their eyes on one of the nation's top graduate transfers, quarterback Gardner Minshew. Minshew is just what Alabama needs, another starter quality quarterback on their depth chart.

This may hurt Alabama's chances of getting Minshew

The former East Carolina quarterback plans to visit Alabama on Friday, but that's not the only SEC school looking at him. Tennessee and Auburn are in the mix for potential destinations for the graduate transfer.

More likely than not, Minshew would have to sit behind both Tua Tagovailoa and Jalen Hurts at Alabama. The potential for Minshew to step in and be a starter next season would be greatest at Tennessee. The Tennessee quarterback situation is unclear, and under new head coach Jeremy Pruitt we may see many changes with that program.

If Tennessee is able to land Minshew, they would like him to start in school as early as next Thursday.

Minshew is also going to take his film to Auburn coach Gus Malzahn.

It looks like Alabama is still the top landing spot for Minshew, but look out for Tennessee and Auburn.
