It's out of this world to even think this is a take, but after all, it is the year 2018.
Anyone who thinks Duke is better without Marvin Bagley is completely out of their minds. Yes, the Blue Devils have gone 3-0 in his absence and have risen back up to the No. 5 team in the country, but that doesn't mean they're better.

This season Bagley has averaged 21.2 points on 59.6% shooting to go along with 11.4 rebounds and 1.1 blocks. The big man is incredibly efficient on both ends of the court. Of course he makes Duke better. Bagley is one of the best players in the country and will for sure be a top prospect for the NBA draft.
It's worth noting that the pieces around Bagley on this Duke team have been playing better in Bagley's absence. If Carter, Allen, Duval, and Trent can keep this up when Bagley returns, Duke is poised for a run into late March. With a tough lineup and a solid bench with guys like White, O'Connell, and Bolden, Duke will be a tough team to beat.
Right now, Coach K's focus is making sure Bagley is 100 percent healthy come March.
Latest update on Bagley: At today's teleconference, K said Bagley is improving. "And I'll know more today. We haven't practiced yet...But he's getting better and we're going to make sure that he's completely good before we get into March. And that may mean he plays..."— Jonathan M Alexander (@jonmalexander) February 20, 2018
The legendary Coach K knows that Duke is a different team with Bagley, but make no mistake; Duke is a better team with Bagley.
