Tom Brady will always support his brothers.
Amidst the heartbreak of the Patriots Super Bowl loss this past weekend, all eyes pointed directly towards Pats CB Malcolm Butler, who was benched for the entirety of the Super Bowl on defense for an unknown reason.
While there were conflicting reports about why Butler was benched, including a potential curfew violation and meeting absence, Butler took to social media to explain himself and say goodbye to Pats Nation.
It was a well-written response to adversity from Butler, especially after his volatile postgame comments in the locker room. Not to mention it was a fitting goodbye to the team as he enters free agency in about a month.
Now, his teammates are showing support for him on his post, including Tom Brady, who liked and commented on the post showing support to his brother.
Tom Brady liked and commented this on Malcolm Butler's Instagram post..... is that a mini shot at Belichick? pic.twitter.com/Dgz8N5ZlZa— NFL Update (@MySportsUpdate) February 6, 2018
Clearly this is Brady being there for one of his teammates during a tough time, but some believe it could be a bit of a shot at Bill Belichick, who decided to bench Butler in the biggest game of the year.
Not buying it.
Regardless of the intention, this just goes to show how close the Patriots are as a team, through thick and thin.
