The Los Angeles Dodgers announced their list of 22 non-roster invitees on Tuesday, and it includes several of their top prospects and some former top prospects from other organizations.
Of the 22 players, nine of them are pitchers, including former heralded prospect of the Yankees and Braves, Manny Banuelos, and the famous switch-pitcher Pat Venditte.
The position player pool includes eight of Los Angeles' top-30 prospects (OF Yusniel Diaz, C Keibert Ruiz, C Will Smith, INF Matt Beaty, INF Drew Jackson, INF Jake Peter, INF Edwin Rios and OF DJ Peters), according to MLBPipeline.com.
Former big leaguers in right-hander Mark Lowe and infielder Donovan Solano are getting an opportunity to extend their careers with hopes of an impressive spring so they can latch on with the Dodgers out of camp.
There are a number of names here that could impress and make a push to land on the 2018 roster, and we're sure the front office and coaching staff are looking forward to that.
