6 Big Names We'll Probably See Moved at the NBA Trade Deadline

Risky business is set to ensue across the NBA landscape very soon.

The NBA trade deadline is one of the last chances for pro teams to make calculated power moves heading into the postseason, and certainly some big moves are soon to be made.

Here are six guys that we should keep our eyes on.

6. Hassan Whiteside

Hassan Whiteside has been Miami's star big for quite a while now, but his tenure with the team could soon be coming to an end. Whiteside has been having a down season this year, while the rest of the team has continued to thrive without him. If the Heat can move Whiteside and bring in more talented contributing pieces for him, don't be surprised if they elect to do so.

5. Tristan Thompson

The Cavaliers are always looking to make moves, and one of their younger pieces that actually has some value is that of Tristan Thompson. We are all painfully aware of the kind of nuisance Thompson can be on the boards and his rebounding is largely what makes him valuable. If the Cavs can make any more moves at all before the deadline, Thompson's name is likely to be involved, but Cleveland may have to eat a chunk of his salary.

4. Tyson Chandler

Tyson Chandler has made it clear that he wants nothing to do with a rebuilding project out in Phoenix. He is far too deep into his NBA career to be subjected to something like that. However, with the Suns clearly entrenched in that phase, Chandler may want to get out of there while he can still be a valuable contributor.

3. Julius Randle

The Lakers have been talking about moving Randle for quite some time, and the deadline looks to be a great opportunity to do so. Randle has been improving steadily since his rookie season, but the Lakers have way too much "potential" and not enough ballers. Randle is likely to be moved along with another young piece in order for LA to hopefully have room to bring in another big-time talent.

2. DeMarcus Cousins

DeMarcus Cousins is free and clear to depart from New Orleans after this season and with the team having faced its fair share of troubles, there's really no guarantee that he'll return. Trading Cousins, if they can, may just be the right move to avoid losing out on the perennial All-Star for nothing over the summer.

1. DeAndre Jordan

DeAndre Jordan's name has been swirling in trade rumors for quite a while now, and with the Clippers in the middle of the pack in the West, it may be time for the team to pull the trigger. Doc Rivers has been fighting off the idea of blowing it up ferociously, but coming down the home stretch, if the team doesn't look like it's going to be in contention, moving Jordan may just be the right idea.
