What can't Jose Altuve do? The answer is nothing. Since winning the World Series, he's been all over media doing a bunch of different things.

He's appeared on Saturday Night LiveThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and was even honored by Sports Illustrated as a Sportsperson of the Year along with fellow Houston Athlete J.J. Watt.

What gets lost in all of the awards and appearances is just how good Jose Altuve played this past season. He was named AL MVP and led his team to a World Series title.

Today, he was named Male Athlete of the Year by the Associated Press.

All of these awards come in the wake of a season in which Altuve batted .346, belted 24 home runs, and stole 32 bags. Oh, and that's just the regular season.

In the playoffs, Altuve recorded 22 hits, seven of which were home runs. He also drove in 14 runs, which helped the Astros win the ring they've been craving for decades.

Overall, Altuve is as deserving as anyone for a Male Athlete of the Year award. No one is going to argue with the decision, because he's truly earned it.

Let's see if he can do it again next year.
