It may not be Bryce Harper, but one Nationals star wants to say in D.C. for the foreseeable future, which is great news for Nats fans.
This guy is an All-Star-caliber player on both sides of the ball.
Nationals third baseman Anthony Rendon has reportedly made it clear that he wants to sign an extension with the team.

Rendon had a great season for the Nationals last year, after batting .301 with 25 home runs and 100 RBI.
It's great news for the Nationals, and hopefully they can come to a deal with Rendon, considering he didn't sound too happy about the team's constant changing of managers.
Anthony Rendon on Nationals' decision to not bring Dusty back: "I guess not too surprised. Just given the fact that I’ve only been here five, six seasons and what is this, my third, fourth manager? So I don’t know any different."— Jorge Castillo (@jorgecastillo) December 17, 2017
It would be wise for the Nationals to jump on this opportunity, as Rendon is coming off a career-year, and with Bryce Harper's impending free agency, they need to keep as much top talent as possible.
Extending Rendon would be the right move for both parties.
