In case you haven't been paying attention, Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Baker Mayfield is making noise to be this year's Heisman Trophy winner.
In fact, he has the race in a complete stranglehold.
After his ridiculous 598-yard, five-touchdown performance against Oklahoma State, he followed it up with another stellar outing, throwing for 333 yards and three touchdowns against another top-ranked opponent in TCU.
He now has thrown for 3,559 and has a touchdown-to-interception ratio of 31:5. Apparently, though, that's not enough to convince everyone that he's undisputedly the best QB in college football—let alone the Big 12!
"There's a kid in Norman who's pretty good, too," Herman said before calling WVU's Will Grier the best QB in the Big 12.— Kirk Bohls (@kbohls) November 13, 2017
Stop it, Tom Herman, just stop it, right now.
Have you been watching the games we have? Or are you a bit distracted by the disappointing 5-5 record to realize what has been going on in your own conference?
We'll admit, Will Grier has been just as equally efficient, but Mayfield has delivered in the big moments, and that's one of the biggest differences. Take notice, coach.
