LiAngelo Ball was set to embark on his first season of college basketball at UCLA when disaster struck.

On the team's preseason journey to China, Ball and two of his teammates were arrested for shoplifting. The likely result of this will be house arrest, and a team-issued suspension, but it could have been much, much worse.

Ball and his teammates weren't stealing from your local market. Rather, they thought they could get away with stealing from Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent and Salvatore Ferragamo.

These kids thought they could steal from Gucci?

For those unfamiliar, you might as well hand over your credit card upon entry to those stores.

Ironically, Ball's family is involved in their own 'high-end' merchandise sales, and it hasn't gone as planned so far.

LaVar is too busy running his mouth to notice what's going on right in front of him, as Lonzo struggles to acclimate to the NBA, LaMelo could very well be ruled ineligible to play college basketball due to NCAA rules, and now LiAngelo is in jail.

At least the reality show is doing well.
