Besides the Patriots-49ers Jimmy Garoppolo deal last night, Jay Ajayi heading from Miami to the Eagles in exchange for nothing but a fourth-round pick is currently the NFL's most shocking trade ahead Tuesday's deadline.

If you're an Eagles fan, you're already prematurely purchasing Super Bowl LII tickets. But if you're a Dolphins fan, you're feeling the complete opposite. The same goes for Miami's players, like linebacker Rey Maualuga:

We don't blame you, Rey. It's not easy to lose a star like Ajayi, especially right after the team was embarrassed by the Baltimore Ravens this past week on Thursday Night Football.

But the Dolphins are clearly sellers this season, building toward a future by acquiring draft picks. They may not be done, either.

We can only imagine what Maualuga would tweet out if a Jarvis Landry deal actually goes through.

Whatever it may be, the Miami faithful have already made it clear that they're not having it.

Ah, it's that time of the year when mid-season angst has gotten the best of all of us. Perhaps Smokin' Jay Cutler can bail the team out of their disappointing season?

If he cares as much as Maualuga, then the Dolphins will have a chance.
