Younghoe Koo was a sensation for obvious reasons, but it surely had nothing to do with his ability of making field goals.
Koo was the starting kicker going into the season, but missing two game-winning field goals in consecutive weeks may have been the deciding factor when the LA Chargers placed him on waivers.
Koo went unclaimed, and has been released.

The Chargers signed kicker Nick Novak earlier, of course.

As Ian Rapoport mentioned, Koo could very well find himself on a practice squad as kickers are needed for certain teams.
Best believe we will see the Buccaneers give him a tryout after Thursday night's debacle from Nick Folk.

Folk: "Yea, why?"

Koo will definitely not be out of a job for long due to his age, and potential for success.
What capacity that job comes in we can't quite say.
