Wasn't Clemson supposed to have a bit of a drop off after losing so many seniors to graduation from their National Championship team?

Apparently not.

Heading into tonight's showdown between the No. 2 Tigers and No. 12 Virginia Tech, many had the Hokies ready to record the upset.

Instead? Clemson dominated this one on VT's home turf, leaving the stadium with a 31-17 win.

Keep in mind here Virginia Tech scored a touchdown with a little over 90 seconds left in this one. Besides that, their offense was basically held in check by Clemson.

The play of the night came from linebacker Dorian O'Daniel, who had this awesome pick-six to really put this one away.

This was a COMPLETE win by the Tigers. And you know what, Alabama should take notice.

While the Crimson Tide had an easy game with Ole Miss, Clemson owned the No. 12 team in the country, on the road, this evening.

It's looking more and more like Clemson and Alabama will go to war once again for the national title. If I'm a Bama fan, I'd be nervous about this Clemson team.
