No one will forget how the Seahawks opted to pass the ball at the end of Super Bowl XLIX, resulting in a game-ending interception at the goal line, especially not Raiders RB Marshawn Lynch.
Derek Carr certainly remembers, and he took a subtle shot at the Seahawks with a hilarious audible call against the Jets.
While on the goal line in the first quarter of the game, and none other than Marshawn Lynch in the backfield, Carr called "Seattle" to audible and throw a goal-line pass.
Derek Carr just called out "Seattle" on goal line audible, then passes at goal line instead of handing off to Lynch ... hmmm— Brandon (@BrandonFunston) September 17, 2017
A very fitting name for the audible used by Carr, and fortunately for the Raiders it worked far better than the Seahawks play did back in 2015. Carr was able to find Crabtree in the end zone for a score.
Just heard Derek Carr with a "Seattle" check at the line ... with Marshawn Lynch in the backfield ... and he throws a TD on 1st-and-goal. 樂— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) September 17, 2017
Shots were certainly fired from Carr and the Raiders here as the young quarterback attempts to bounce back from a devastating injury suffered in 2016.
It seems the right time to troll Seahawks fans over their Super Bowl loss is all the time, even in a game against another team.
