The Seahawks can't afford to be without him.
We all know that defense is the backbone of the Seattle Seahawks, but the Legion of Boom is no longer what it used to be. Richard Sherman is still really good, but without a star across from him, the Seahawks aren't as good as they once were.
Nobody wants to see what they look like without Sherman, but that could be the reality on Sunday, because he missed practice today with a hamstring injury.
Sherman missed all of practice with a hurt hamstring, and there's no telling if he'll be good to go on Sunday when the Seahawks battle it out against the 49ers. To make matters worse, fellow starter Shaq Griffin was limited with a concussion. LB KJ Wright was also held out.
In the event that both Griffin and Sherman are out, the Seahawks will rely on Jeremy Lane and Neiko Thorpe in their absence. That doesn't inspire much confidence, even when the competition is Brian Hoyer.
Hopefully they're both on the field come Sunday.
