How often does someone join a team one day, then gets injured the next?
This happened to Andrew Bogut as he joined the Cleveland Cavaliers in early March. Bogut broke his fibula, and missed the stretch run.
Since then, Bogut has been rehabbing, and is looking a for new team. A bone scan will determine whether Bogut will be cleared to play at the start of the season.
With Bogut's status pending, four teams are interested in signing him: Boston, San Antonio, Milwaukee and Utah.
Before being traded from Dallas to Cleveland, Bogut had limited work with the Dallas Mavericks, only averaging 3 points, and 8.1 rebounds.
Andrew Bogut is expected to be cleared to play this week and hopes to sign with a new team shortly. Celtics are interested in the Vet— Baseline Hoops (@baseline_hoops) September 12, 2017
Bogut was a small part of the Warriors championship, and even at 32, he can be a good paint protector off the bench.
