Sometimes the best battles in college basketball between powerhouses aren't even on the court. They occur during one of the most important aspects of the sport: the recruiting process.

Out of all the recruits for the 2018 class, there are few names as big as the high-flying budding star, Zion Williamson. Even though he's no longer the top recruit, he still has every big time program jostling to have him commit.

In the race for Zion, Duke and UCLA have taken steps forward, while Kentucky is going backwards after an in-home visit with John Calipari was canceled.

For everyone who hates Duke, this is definitely not something you want to hear.

Williamson only canceled the visit because of Hurricane Irma and is expected to reschedule, but it certainly puts Kentucky behind Duke at this point. Zion has already praised Coach K for being steps ahead of the competition at all times, and in this case, he really is.

UCLA and Duke both have official school visits set in place for one of the biggest names in high school sports, with Duke's visit occurring during the schools annual "Countdown to Craziness" event.

We've seen Calipari work some magic during recruitment, but he might have to pull out all the stops if he wants to land this big time prospect.
