The Texans are DISHING OUT THE CASH.
Houston is coming off of a solid season last year, in which they were able to make the playoffs and even win a game despite some absolutely pitiful play at QB from Brock Osweiler.
With a star-studded defense still ready to go in Houston, and a QB of the future in former Clemson star Deshaun Watson, the team is ready to lock up their playmakers. They're doing so with this latest move.
And the big one: The #Texans are finalizing an extension for WR DeAndre Hopkins, source said. Five years.— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) August 31, 2017
The Texans have agreed to a massive five-year deal with All-Pro receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who has proved year-in and year-out that he is one of the best in the game.
DeAndre Hopkins will be staying in Houston. Five year deal. Coin. Major coin.— patrick (@PatDStat) August 31, 2017
Despite a relatively disappointing season last year, Hopkins success should not be pinned on just one bad year with a pitiful QB. Now with a massive contract under his belt, Hopkins will prove why he's still one of the best this season.
