Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball has made a lot of headlines since the start of the Summer League.

He drew a lot of criticism for the dismal performance he had during the Lake Show's first outing, and brought about mixed reactions when he wore Kobe Bryant‘s Nike shoes to spite his own brand and registered a huge 36-point game on Wednesday.

During their game against the Cleveland Cavaliers Thursday night, Ball decided to once again ditch his ZO2s and instead rocked the Adidas signature kicks of James Harden. This grabbed Harden's attention and he decided to post on Instagram about Lonzo rocking his gear in another triple-double performance.

Is some vast conspiracy afoot here? Some large competition?

While it’s still surprising to see the former UCLA Bruin not sporting any shoes from his family’s Big Baller Brand, it did not affect his game at all. He registered his second triple-double of the Summer League and finished with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and 12 assists.

Ben Golliver may have highlighted the most impressive tidbit about Ball’s game in Vegas.

Although his achievements this summer won’t matter once the regular season starts, it may do wonders for his confidence. Perhaps LA's got a James Harden-style Big Ball Handler on their hands after all.
