Last season, Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins proved the haters wrong by setting the single-season passing yards record for the franchise.

Though this season was not quite as promising as last year, one thing has not changed: Cousins is steadily improving.

And the benchmark measurement? Cousins just broke his own record which, like I said, he set the year before at 4,166. He now has 4,181.

This is monumental, given that the Redskins put a franchise tag on Kirk Cousins this year and his improvement could mean that he could be in for more money in the near future.

Captain Kirk is the leader of the Skins, and this proves just that.
