Isaiah Thomas likely had a chip on his shoulder after being taken as the very last draft pick by the Sacramento Kings.
The success he's had, however, far outshines anyone else that has been in that position for quite some time.

Yes, Thomas is far and away the most successful last pick of the draft since the draft became two rounds in 1989. 6,727 points, more than the rest of those picks put together.

Thomas has impressed from the beginning of his career, but it has been with the Celtics the past couple of years that he has truly blossomed.
Last season, his first with Boston, he made his first NBA All-Star Game, and impressed everyone in the first round of the playoffs with a 42 point game.
The next final draft pick is going to have quite a lot to live up to.
