4 Must-Watch Games in MLS Week 27

The MLS regular season has only a few weeks left in the schedule, and each game is important because the playoff race in both Conferences is heating up. No team has been eliminated yet, so every franchise has something to play for.

Week 27 of the MLS marks the return of a full slate of games following the FIFA World Cup qualifiers, so the majority of the league's big stars will be available. Without further ado, here are four must-watch games this weekend in MLS.

4. Philadelphia Union vs. Montreal Impact

The Philadelphia Union was one of the best teams in MLS during June and July, but they might be imploding in front of our own eyes. They fell from the top of the Eastern Conference to the fourth place, and even though they remain in playoff zone, they need to start winning as soon as possible. They'll face a Montreal Impact that also needs to win after losing 1-4 against Orlando City SC on Wednesday night.

3. Portland Timbers vs. Real Salt Lake

The Portland Timbers were left for dead earlier in the season, but thanks to impressive seasons from Fanendo Adi and Diego Valeri they have managed to sneak into the playoff zone. The Timbers now have the task of maintaining themselves in the postseason group, but they'll need to win a tough game against Real Salt Lake. Burrito Martinez's team is coming off a 3-3 draw against Los Angeles Galaxy, and they currently sit second in the Western Conference.

2. New York Red Bulls vs. DC United

Few games have more to play for than this one between the New York Red Bulls and D.C. United. While the Red Bulls will try to move to the top of the Eastern Conference with a win, DC will look to get a win that puts them closer to a playoff berth. NYRB are slight favorites here, but DCU has been on a roll of late. It's going to be a very open game, that's for sure.

1. FC Dallas vs. Colorado Rapids

FC Dallas has undoubtedly been the best team in MLS this season, so it's not a surprise to see them at the top of the Supporters' Shield with a comfortable advantage. They will try to take another step into both the playoffs and the regular season title against the Colorado Rapids. The Rapids are fourth in the West and they have an experienced roster with players such as Tim Howard, Jermaine Jones and Kevin Doyle. No one will want to miss this game!
