Philadelphia Eagles fans can start being a bit optimistic heading into 2016.
Pro Football Focus has just ranked the Eagles as the second-best graded team in the NFL preseason behind the Buffalo Bills and ahead of the New England Patriots.
Yes, it is early (and PFF wants the reader to know this), but still this is a pretty amazing development. PFF are the premier statisticians of the NFL, so them ranking the Eagles second is something to keep an eye on. I don't believe anyone is thought the Eagles will be one of the best teams in the NFL, but they've been impressing thus far in the preseason.

2015 - Broncos (12-4) + Super Bowl
2014 - Broncos (12-4)
2013 - Saints (11-5)
Maybe Eagles fans don't need to be so pessimistic after all. The Denver Broncos won the Super Bowl last year after being ranked the best preseason team. In 2014, the Broncos lost to the Indianapolis Colts in the divisional round of the playoffs after being ranked the best as well. And in 2013, the New Orleans Saints lost to the Seattle Seahawks in the divisional playoffs.
So what this trend is telling us is that the Eagles could possibly be a playoff team. Who would of thought?
