Power Ranking the Top 3 Players in MLS Week 18

Week 18 in MLS was a very intense one, and it left fans with a few incredible results and lots of interesting individual displays. Which players managed to stand tall above the rest? Here we present you the top three players in MLS Week 18.

3. Benny Feilhaber - Sporting Kansas City

Feilhaber is one of the best central midfielders in the league and even though he didn't start the year in his best form, he's been stepping up of late for Sporting Kansas City. The playmaker was one of the best players this week thanks to his display against New York City FC. He scored a goal and generated lots of chances for his teammates. Great performance against one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference.

2. Kevin Doyle - Colorado Rapids

The 32-year-old Irish striker hasn't had a good season with Colorado Rapids, but he showed the fans why he was signed as a Designated Player on Saturday against the Vancouver Whitecaps. Doyle not only scored a brilliant goal, he also generated lots of spaces in the final third and was a constant menace for the opposing defenders. ‚ÄčIt was a great performance from the attacker, but he needs to perform like this on a more consistent basis.

1. Ilsinho - Philadelphia Union

The 30-year-old Brazilian playmaker started the season on a strong note, but he hadn't been very productive of late. On Saturday, however, the former Shakhtar Donetsk star produced his best display on U.S. soil. Ilsinho scored two goals in Philadelphia's 3-0 win over DC United, keeping the Union near the top of the Eastern Conference standings. The veteran was, undoubtedly, the best player of the past weekend.
