3 Top Transfer Destinations for Florida PG Andrew Nembhard

Canadian-born point guard Andrew Nembhard has reportedly made the surprise decision to drop out of the upcoming NBA Draft but transfer away from the University of Florida in order to play colleg basketball elsewhere next season. It's not every day that a former 5-star prospect is suddenly up for grabs -- with that in mind, let's identify three top destinations for Nembhard as he plans the next chapter of his basketball career.

3. Auburn

After missing out on Mac McClung, the Tigers might want to take a stab at Nembhard if Mike White and Co. would possibly consider allowing him to leave for another SEC school. With three of Aburn's top four scorers -- Samir Doughty, Isaac Okoro, and Austin Wiley -- all leaving next season, they are in need of some skill on the ball. Nembhard would add high-level shot-creation and some much-needed experience in Bruce Pearl's locker room.

Another team that missed out on Mac McClung, Arkansas is also a viable option for Nembhard if SEC schools are on the table. Arkansas have done extremely well in recruiting this season, attracting four different 4-star recruits; There is clearly a lot of momentum to turn the program around and build up a viable competitor in the conference moving forward, and Nembhard would be another feather in the cap. This would be a statement transfer for Eric Musselma's program that would put the rest of the SEC on notice.

If Nembhard wants his best chance to win a national championship, he'll go to Michigan State. Learning under Tom Izzo, one of the best coaches in college basketball history, certainly doesn't hurt. With the departure of Cassius Winston, the Spartans are going to need someone to come in and fill his shoes. The rising junior could fill that role effectively and perhaps grow into the next big MSU star.
