3 NFL Teams That Could Help Eagles and Trade for Alshon Jeffery

The Philadelphia Eagles may be forced to trade Alshon Jeffery, after rumors have emerged of the receiver wanting out. He would provide a team with proven success and experience at the wide receiver position. Though the cap cost would be prohibitive, a few teams stand out as potential trade partners for the Eagles.

3. Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills somehow made the playoffs without a dominant threat at receiver in 2019. John Brown led the way with 1,060 yards, and Cole Beasley followed with 778. Those two were the only real weapons on offense as pass-catchers. The Bills are desperate for a big-bodied receiver like the 6-3 Jeffery, and have the cap space to swing a move and make the veteran the top target for Josh Allen.

The New England Patriots have failed to surround Tom Brady with top receiving talent, and that may cause the legendary quarterback to sign elsewhere in 2020. Trading for Jeffery would pair him with Julian Edelman and Mohamed Sanu to give Brady a talented trio. This move should be a no-brainer to a Patriots team nearing the end of its historic run. Trade for Jeffery, sign AJ Green. It could happen.

The Indianapolis Colts could decide to move on from Jacoby Brissett this offseason. Whatever the team does, an extra receiver like Jeffery could help get the team back into the postseason after a disappointing 7-9 season. Zach Pascal was the leading receiver in '19 with 607 yards, and T.Y. Hilton only had 501 yards in 10 games. Whoever lines up under center would benefit from Jeffery, and the Colts have enough cap space to add him and more.
