Could Magic Johnson, Rob Pelinka, and LeBron James have handled the trade rumors regarding Anthony Davis last month in a more professional manner? Absolutely.

They surely could've kept the news that everybody on the roster (except LeBron) was reportedly on the trade block for AD more in-house, rather than revealing every possible detail to the Pelicans and the media (unless, of course, it was Rich Paul).

Kobe Bryant, on the other hand, doesn't exactly back the whole "play nice" idea and even had some choice words for Los Angeles' young nucleus.

Here is Kobe's full quote:

"Kuzma, Lonzo, Ingram… are the three of them better than Anthony Davis? No! Ciao! Bye! Anthony Davis is one of the best players in the world. Not currently, in history. What are we talking about? If you can trade for Anthony Davis, you do it. If not, alright. We have three players who are very young and work hard. They're smart and they have to develop. But if you can trade for Anthony Davis… yes!"

If this quote isn't a testimony to Kobe's "Mamba Mentality," then we don't know what is, and the greatest part is he is spitting genuine facts here.

The Black Mamba knows all too well that you can't win with just one superstar in today's NBA (thanks Golden State).

Kobe stays a savage on and off the court.
