The Bears are not messing around this offseason.
Mitchell Trubisky is expected to take the next step this season with new head coach Matt Nagy, but the man can't do it on his own. That's why the team is making big moves in free agency.
The Bears have added yet another wide receiver, signing former Falcons WR Taylor Gabriel to a four-year deal.

Taylor Gabriel is my source. #ThomaHawk
This team went from having zero options to having too many to deal with.
For those who stepped away from the NFL rumor mill for a few hours, you've missed quite the day for the Bears. They've added a monster in Allen Robinson, a tight end with a ton of potential with Trey Burton, and now a speedster in Taylor Gabriel.
Add in returning wideouts with Cameron Meredith and Kevin White, and Trubisky now has options all over the field.
With Allen Robinson, Taylor Gabriel and Trey Burton on board, the #Bears are clearly expecting Mitchell Trubisky to make a big jump and compete for the division next season. Spending a lot of money on the offense.— Dov Kleiman (@NFL_DovKleiman) March 13, 2018
Gabriel may have had a disappointing 2017 where he had just one touchdown compared to the six he scored a year before, but he certainly has potential to be a deep threat in this league. He won't have the luxury of playing against defenses who are focused on Julio Jones, but with all the options surrounding Gabriel, teams may not even notice he's on the field.
If you're a Bears fan, you have to be thrilled about the future of this offense.
