Notre Dame's tournament hopes may have been shattered Thursday night after they fell to Duke 88-70. However, there's still hope!
The committee should and will strongly consider putting Notre Dame in the tournament, as their resume is actually pretty solid.

Notre Dame earned a NCAA tournament bid tonight.
Last night, Notre Dame came back from 21 to take down Virginia Tech, a tournament bound team. Some feel this solidified Notre Dame's tournament hopes.
They finished the season 20-14 (8-10 in ACC play), which on paper doesn't look that impressive. But, they had a very tough schedule, which is something the committee certainly likes to see.
Some of the notable teams they have lost to are Duke, North Carolina, Michigan State, and Virginia. All quality losses to have.
Mike Brey said his goal was to give the selection committee "something to talk about". Notre Dame is doing more than that. Irish plus Bonzie Colson equal an NCAA Tournament team.— Jon Rothstein (@JonRothstein) March 8, 2018
On the other hand, they did take down Wichita State early on in the year. Not to mention, they also won four of their last five regular season games.
With their best player, Bonzie Colson, back from injury after missing a large portion of the season, this team can be dangerous if they get a tournament bid.
They certainly deserve it if you look closer at their strength of schedule and how they held their own in the very tough ACC without their best player.
Notre Dame deserves a tournament bid. We all know it!
