After Demarcus Cousins went down with a season ending injury, NBA fans thought that would be the end of the New Orleans Pelicans. However, Anthony Davis has other intentions.

The Pelicans are on a streak of 10 consecutive wins and much of the thanks goes to Davis. He is even catching the eyes of fellow NBA stars such as Draymond Green.

Green believes that Davis could make James Harden's MVP case a little tougher. Harden is averaging 30.9 points, 8.9 assists, 5.2 rebounds, and 0.7 blocks. Compare that to Davis who is averaging 28.3 points, 2.4 assists11.2 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks. It truly does make for a tough decision.

Harden does edge out Davis in player efficiency rating by a little less than two points.

While Harden is leading the Rockets to a first place battle with the Golden State Warriors, the performances that Davis has put on without the help of Cousins can't be overstated.

But hey, who ever said choosing an MVP was easy?
