The Arizona Cardinals are undergoing an overhaul, as they have a new head coach in Steve Wilks and quarterback Carson Palmer announced his retirement.

However, a consistent piece to the Cardinals will be back for next season.

During an appearance on The Doug and Wolf Show on Thursday morning, Wilks announced wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald told the team that he will return for the 2018 season.

"Larry mentioned to me last night that he's coming back for the 2018 season," said Wilks. "He's totally committed, those are his words."

Fitzgerald, 34, was non-committal to a return throughout the playoffs and offseason, but the belief among many was that he would return for his 16th campaign.

The veteran has been an integral part for the Cardinals ever since entering the league, as well as in the past three seasons. In each of those three years, Fitzgerald posted 100+ receptions and 1,000+ yards.

With Arizona looking to retool the team, they will have ol' reliable Fitzgerald back to help out on the offensive side of the ball.
